Voice-over IP is a revolutionary technology whereby communications is run
over the same Ethernet port as a computer, incorporating both computing and
telephony on the same line. This means voice communications are digitized,
resulting in a clearer, more stable communication. In addition, VoIP voicemail
can be integrated and delivered through your Exchange mailbox as well as through
your IP phone.
So...lets get started. The first thing we need to do is setup voicemail so
your phone will be personalized for you.
You will notice a "Messages" button on the phone. Go ahead and push it.
This is the same button you will want to hit each time you have a new
voicemail message, that is if you want to listen to it on the phone and
instead of e-mail.
By default the password is 5376800. Make sure you hit the # button after
the password.
You will now be asked to say your name, set up a password and your
greetings for the phone. If at some point later you want to change your
password or greeting or any other option for that matter, refer to this help
guide

Fast Dials are an index of up to 99 stored numbers that can be
accessed simply by pressing a two-digit index code into the phone while it
is on-hook followed by pressing the AbbrDial soft key. Unlike Fast Dials,
the phone does not display a listing of Speed Dial index numbers, so you
will need to know exactly who is associated with each index number (it may
be handy to compose a list and keep the list on or near the phone).
For each Speed Dial index number, enter in the phone
number you want with the appropriate display text description next to
the number.
Note: For on campus calls you only need to enter
the last 4 digits. For off campus, you will need to add 9 + Number or a
9 + 1 + Area Code + Number.
When you are done inputting all of your Speed Dial index
numbers, click on
Update at the bottom of the page.
