In diagnosing network latency issues, users found utilizing an excessive portion of the available
bandwidth will be contacted. Issues causing the excessive amount will be evaluated to determine the
best method for resolving the situation.
Applications determined to over-utilize bandwidth will be investigated regarding their academic value. If they are found to have little academic value and are excessively impeding the ability for McKendree University to function, they will be blocked.
Peer level file sharing programs are currently blocked as they meet the criteria stated above.
