Student Wireless

 

McKendree University provides wireless access for the Lebanon campus.  A username and password are required to access the wireless network.  While the Department of Information Technology has taken many steps to guarantee your security, we remind everyone to take caution and avoid sending any sensitive information over the wireless network.

To Connect to the McKendreeWireless Network
1 - Be sure your wireless card is on
2 - Open your wireless network connection software

    In Vista  - Click the network icon on your system tray, select "Connect to Network" on the pop-out menu
      
     
     

    In Windows XP - Double-click the network icon on the system tray
    In Mac OS X     - Click the AirPort connection and look for the drop-down menu

3 - Select "McKendreeWireless" and wait for a connection.  If you are warned that the connection is not encrypted, select 
    "Continue Anyways"
4 - When accessing a webpage, your browser will present a login page.  Enter your username and password when prompted, you will be redirected to your homepage.
5 - You're now on the wireless network.
