Student E-Mail  |  http:\\email.mckendree.edu

Your e-mail account can be accessed anywhere in the world, but there are some school districts, companies and areas on Scott Air Force Base that have security settings in place that will not allow you to connect to your e-mail. 

How do access my e-mail?
  • Students can access e-mail from anywhere in the world by going to http://email.mckendree.edu/. Although any browser will work, Internet Explorer 8 works the best.

    Check our Account Management section for account username and password details.
How long can I keep my Emails?
  • -Email older than 180 days inbox and sent will be deleted.
    -Deleted items will be removed after 15days.
    -You have 15 days to recover a missing email
Why am I receiving undeliverable email messages for email I did not send?
  • Spam email can be sent from a comprised computer containing an address book with your email address. The comprised computers are located outside McKendree and generate spam using random email addresses from that address book. Your email address may be listed as the "from" address and if the email to the recipient bounces, you receive an undeliverable message.
    If you receive an undeliverable for email you have not sent, please delete the message.
Forwarding your email to another account.
  • 1. Log onto your McKendree email account.
    2. On the toolbar at the top select OPTIONS.
    3. Select RULES from the list on the left side of the window.
    4. Then select NEW RULE when this window expands select CREATE A NEW RULE FOR ARRIVING MESSAGES.
    5. A window may appear if window appears select Delete Disabled Rules.
    6. Select FORWARD OR DEDIRECT and this will expand and check the box REDIRECT message to people or distribution list.
    7. Then in the left section for Rule Description select PEOPLE OR DISTRIBUTION LISTS.
    8. At the bottom of this new window input the email address that you want the email to be forwarded to, and then select OK.
    9. This will take you back to the previous window click save in this window.
    10. This will bring up another window select OK in this window.
How can I set up my Apple iPhone to receive my e-mail?
  • 1 - From the main menu go to "Settings"
    2 - Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
    3 - Select "Add Account" from the "Accounts" Menu
    4 - Select "Microsoft Exchange" as on the next menu.
    5 - Enter your e-mail address (username@mckendree.edu) in the "Email" field
    6 - Enter "mckendree.edu" for the domain
    7 - Enter your username
    8 - Enter your password
    9 - Select "next" and you a screen will appear saying "unable to verify certificate." Select "accept."
    10 - A new field labeled "Server" will appear. Enter "email.mckendree.edu" here. Press "Next."
    11 - On the next screen you may set your mail, contacts, and calendars to be synced. Hit "Done."
    12 - Your McKendree email account should now be set up. You can access it under your e-mail accounts from the Home menu.
How can I set up Outlook to receive my e-mail?

Outlook 2007 with service pack 1 is required on a Windows XP or a Vista operating system.

1) Go to “Control Panel” and double click on “Mail”.

2) For “Mail” settings click “Add” and give a name to your profile.



3) When Prompted with “Add New E-mail Account” screen, check “Manually configure server settings” and click next:



4) For “Email Service” choose “Microsoft Exchange” and click next.



5) For “Microsoft Exchange Settings” type “e2k7ccr.mckendree.edu” for the Microsoft Exchange server name and “username@mckendree.edu” (your email address) for the username and click “More Settings”.



6) On the “Microsoft Exchange” options screen click on Connections Tab, select “Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP” and click on “Exchange Proxy Settings”.



7) For “Microsoft Proxy Settings” type “email.mckendree.edu” for the “URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange”, uncheck all check boxes and select “NTLM Authentication” for the authentication method.



8) Click OK / Next to come out of all the setup options and launch Outlook.
